How to layer your looks for the autumn winter transition period

With the seasons and the weather ever changing, choosing the right outfit can often be a dilemma. You leave the house in the morning with a chill in the air, and by lunchtime the sun is shining and you forget it’s October, for a minute. Then get caught in an unpredicted rain shower on your way home.

This is where layering becomes your superpower. Layering a lightweight Hoi polloi V neck sweater over a fine pima cotton t-shirt, or a Ritz denim shirt over the same provides versatile warmth. And as we go into the autumn months, take with you a Kincorth Bold Stripe Roll neck sweater to put on should you get caught in a chill. Easily removable and not too heavy to carry in your rucksack should the sun find its way out again. Our Navarre deconstruct blazers have an easy, lightweight feel to them, ideal for adding an extra layer of insulation whilst not too heavy to wear all day.

Our popular knitted Beanies are back in stock too. Made in Hawick, on the Scottish Borders, and in a spectrum of great colours, and 100% lambswool, they add a splash of colour and cool with the added bonus of keeping in the heat on top.

If Rainproof is your preferred kind of chapeau, we have carefully curated a selection of hats from a much admired brand and former collaborator, Mackintosh. Bucket hats are back and the Pelting Hat from Mackintosh is such a stylish classic. Waxed cotton to keep you dry whilst channelling your inner 90s raver. If you are not ready to go back there yet, we also have The Tipping Baseball cap in Raintec and Nylon in a selection of colours.
