Our Festive Made to Measure Suit

Black is one of the most flexible colours to use in tailoring whether it’s a black suit or a black jacket, especially when it’s custom made. It can be evening wear with satin lapels or it can be a simple single breasted style which can then be dressed formally or casually.  Fabulous with a Mr Start crisp white shirt - think Tom Ford’s own style.  

I have a black double breasted suit which I wear for both formal and casual events and this year I have a wonderful New Year’s Eve party that I’m going to. It's a great opportunity to dress up, even if other people don’t bother.  I know from past experience that it will make me feel and look great and that I’ve entered into the spirit of the festive season.

The same can also be said for navy blue which is equally as flexible.  I'm always torn about which is the better colour.  Navy can be worn for all the same events as black, but somehow it doesn’t work quite so well for evening wear.  It’s great for a day time business suit with a more structured shoulder or as a casual suit or jacket with a soft unstructured shoulder - single or double breasted.
