The high summer collection is designed by our need to find an interesting way to dress that fits in to the new lifestyle we’ve all been pushed to adopt. Whilst I have always loved to dress up in a suit and, yes, I can love a tie as well, my natural style is based around a jacket of some sort.

Jackets give you the flexibility to dress down something that can also be more formal. It then feels more natural to for example to wear with casual trousers and a pair of great trainers. Just by changing one or two of the elements will give you a new style to work around, say, a pair of jeans or one of our new colour t-shirts instead of a shirt so it becomes a more casual outfit . The jacket creates the stability that allows you to be creative and make your own look.

 

When you need to be more formal, I like to wear my jackets with lightweight wool trousers that feel casual and then some smarter suede loafers, finished off with great socks to add something but not too much to the outfit.

 
One idea for a more casual jacket is our new safari style which comes both in 100% linen and a wonderful textured navy cotton. It has the flexibility not to look overly formal and could be worn with anything, even with shorts or the matching draw string trouser for a high summer look.
