Asparagus and Fine dining at One Club Row
Big News this week in the culinary world is that asparagus and rhubarb are in abundance! So when you see it on a menu, you'd be foolish not to go for it.
Other big news in the culinary world, however, is the opening of One Club Row in Shoreditch, which if you remember is on the site of what was the Trois Garcons, legendary and flamboyant eatery from the early 2000s.
One Club Row is the Brainchild of James Dye (Bambi and The Camberwell Arms) Benjy Leibowitz and Patrick Powell (Allegra, Chiltern Firehouse, Midland Grand Dining Room) and joined by head chef Attila Gellen. It is above the newly opened pub Knave of Clubs
The Graffiti strewn discreet exterior belies the relaxed yet fine dining experience within. If the neon sign stating "Walk in Tables" is off, then it's fully booked.
Brix and I had a lovely evening with friends there this week, highlights of the menu for me being the aforementioned asparagus which was plump and juicy, followed by a delicious cod, and for desert, you guessed it, rhubarb!
If you want a little touch of New York dining in a Shoreditch setting, then One Club Row is the spot.
On the night I wore my Pitfield Flannel suit, my Hoi Polloi Roll Neck Sweater, and my Calvert Merino Overcoat.
One Club Row is open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30pm. You can find out more and book a table on the One Club Row website.
