The first is a big favourite of mine from one of the great Italian mills, Fratelli della Delfino based in Biella.
The fabric is a slightly open weave made from 100% pure wool. This is no ordinary wool fabric though. It looks and acts like a summer fabric because of its gauzy weave - lightweight, but not transparent, but that's just the start of it. The beauty of this fabric is that its almost completely crease resistant, in fact I have often just rolled my jacket up, put it in my rucksack, and it comes out looking just fine. It also has sweat-wicking properties allowing sweat to evaporate rather than holding the heat in. It also has a little natural stretch allowing for movement and recovery. And.....on top of that, it is also shower resistant, it's treated so that light rainfall just bounces off, making it possibly the ideal fabric for a summer wedding suit. It comes in a beautiful light grey and and a gorgeous bright navy.
The second fabric we have to offer at this exclusive price is a classic Mr Start fabric from one of the great British mills, Dugdale Bros. & Sons based in Yorkshire, home of the best English fabrics. It's a mix of wool and mohair, in a lightweight navy blue. We have been running a classic navy wool and mohair suit since the day Mr Start opened and it's been one of our best sellers ever since. It looks sharp and formal in a very elegant way. Comfortable and hard-wearing, the mohair has a natural bounce making it crease resistant and breathable. Fabulous for any occasion, great for a wedding suit with future wear factored in, and an ideal every day business suit.
The third fabric is also from our friends at Dugdale. This time in a jet black 100% fine wool. Black is a great colour, it has so many ways it can be used. I have just made myself a black double breasted suit which can be used either as a dinner suit by adding a white shirt and black bow tie, or dressed in a more relaxed way with a cool white or black t-shirt underneath. Styled as a single breasted suit maybe worn with a black shirt underneath with a single button fastening makes for perfect understated cool.
