Trends For Weddings
Wedding dress is becoming more interesting.
There will always be a place for a classic wedding - navy blue or grey, black, even beige, they never go out of fashion and will always look amazing. We love those looks - how about adding dark brown to the classic colour palette.
As weddings become more relaxed, you don't have to stick to the traditional when there so many ways to express both of your styles. It is your wedding after all.
Some great trends are appearing, and here are a few suggestions. First there are so many new plain colours available which we can be interpret in a range of style. We’ve made green, bright blue, yellow, white and red in the past.
Double breasted is a strong look that can either be in plain fabric or one of the new Dugdale pinstripes which come in new interesting colours, or maybe one of the new checks from Holland and Sherry available in the most amazing colours and variations. Checks can be subtle or quite ‘out there‘ depending on taste.
Three piece is becoming more of a favourite. It makes a statement that looks great for the photos which then live on forever. As the reception relaxes and the jackets come off, it still looks fabulous for those more impromptu pictures. Three piece looks great in a classic plain colour or pinstripe. How good would it look in something brighter from our favourite Italian mill Lora Piana.
A softer constructed suit, ideal for a summer wedding can be detailed with lighter or darker button colours, pleated trousers with or without turn ups and patch pockets.
Think out of the box. Bright colours, pinstripes and checks in any of the styles. Maybe even mismatched fabrics!
There are no rules. Classic is wonderful, but then again so is an outfit that's more unusual. Wear with a double cuff crisp white shirt, and a pair of silver cufflinks that speak to your personality and style.
